Clint Scott and Dr. Mike Gustafson give you The Juice and discuss the NCAA increasing scholarships for college sports, the NFL and NFLPA beginning discussions on potentially expanding the regular season, and the Play of the Day where Jonathan Ornelas made a Derek Jeter-like play for the Texas Rangers. They also discuss Texas Tech Softball signing the reigning National Player of the Year NiJaree Canady and what the expectations now are entering the first season under Jerry Glasco.

July 23rd, 2024: MLB Weekend, Olympics, NFL, Early Super Bowl Picks, Play of the Day, What's Going On

Clint Scott and Dr. Mike Gustafson discuss an MLB weekend following the All-Star Break with who impressed them the most including the AL West. The guys look forward to the Paris Olympics as Clint asks who he wishes to see light the olympic cauldron, as well as checking out the break-dancing contest. Clint then asks Gus to predict the best super bowl odds for the upcoming season. The Play of the Day features the Braves' Greg Maddux pitching a complete game on this day in 1997. What's Going On today is what the guys feel like make the best Mac and Cheese.

Clint Scott and Dr. Mike Gustafson give you The Juice and discuss what the Texas Rangers will have to do to avoid being sellers at the trade deadline. They also break down a fan vote from Dallas Cowboys fans and how the fans feel about the upcoming season, who the SEC deems the real UT is, if Texas Tech Football will finish towards the top of the Big 12, and if they would "buy stock" into the Cowboys or the Houston Texans.

Clint Scott and Dr. Mike Gustafson discuss the passing of Bob Newhart and their memories of him, the MLB dropping the schedule for next season, and if they would try the new ballpark food items from the Rockies and the Royals. They also talk about celebrities and athletes that are very likable and what are the top rivalries in the new era of college football.

Clint Scott and Dr. Mike Gustafson discuss the All-Star Break in MLB, the infamous national anthem, the home run derby results, and looking forward to the All-Star Game tonight. The guys get to know the new intern Tim with questions back and forth. Clint discovers What's Going On with a 100 pound sandwich from a bar in South Africa.
